Indestructible Shrubs
Many shrubs, for the most part, require some regular maintenance and attention or they run the risk of looking straggly, sickly & unkempt. Here I've compiled a small list of shrubs that I like to call indestructible due to their extremely hardy nature & capacity to handle stress. Of course they need the same initial care when planting. Over the next couple of discussions, I'll be going into more depth about each shrub.
1. Glossy Abelia (Abelia grandiflora)

This is a deciduous, multi-stemmed shrub with clustering white or pinkish flowers. The branches are 1-2 m long and arch downward. The leaves are dark green and glossy. It blooms from late summer into the fall.
2. Sweet Shrub (Calycanthus)

This native shrub is decidous and grows 2-4 m tall. Its sweet smelling red flowers bloom in the early summer and resemble small magnolia flowers. The fruit is an elliptic dry capsule 5-7 cm long, containing numerous seeds.
3. American Beauty Berry (Callicarpa americana)
4. Yucca
